Yet another member of AEROSMITH has gone down with an injury.

On Wednesday night, singer STEVEN TYLER fell off the stage about halfway through a gig at the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Rapid City, South Dakota.

He was airlifted to a local hospital, and treated for minor injuries to his head, neck and shoulder.

What happened was that the sound system failed during "Love in an Elevator" . . . so Steven started dancing on a catwalk to entertain the crowd.

He twirled around and stepped backward, inadvertently falling off the stage, and onto a couple fans.

The SUMMER OF DEATH took a short break, but it's back. Director JOHN HUGHES . . . the man who DEFINED what teen movies were in the 1980s . . . died suddenly and unexpectedly yesterday. He was 59.

Hughes suffered a heart attack while taking a morning walk during a trip to Manhattan to visit family.

Hughes only directed EIGHT movies, but they were almost all classics. They were:

On this morning's Today Show, the super high-tech NBC team (Ann Curry mentioned "a lot of people emailing me on Twitter") welcomed recently deer-struck Matt Lauer back to the airwaves by devoting no less than three segments to making fun of him. He looks particularly "over it" in the following clip, as Good Morning America bestows him with the not-greatest gift of all: an enormous "MATT XING" road sign that he'll probably attempt to toss in the trash (à la Jemaine with Mel's heinous portrait in Flight of the Conchords). Lauer's a good sport throughout the inanity, but I desperately wanted him to shout at Curry and the scores of be-antlered tourists, "Uh, guys...I could have, like, DIED." Deer are no joke! An extended and previously unreleased version of The BEATLES' "White Album" track "Revolution 1" has surfaced on the Internet. You Tube has it labeled as Take 20, which is what you hear Abbey Road engineer GEOFF EMERICK slate it as, but this is actually what the Beatles recorded on the first day of the sessions for the double-LP on May 30th, 1968, and continued working on the following day as well as on June 4th. According to MARK LEWISOHN's definitive book, "The Beatles Recording Sessions," JOHN LENNON took home a mono mix of Take 20 on a plastic spool after the June 4th session, and that's what this You Tube file must be. It runs nearly 11 minutes and includes a lot of the material John would eventually use on the massive "Revolution 9" placed on Side 4 of the "White Album."

So he brought the car to the Super Chevy Show in Ohio . . . and tested its 2,400 horsepower engine on a real racetrack. So how fast did it do? Listen to this . . .

Rod's Corvette went from ZERO to 60 miles per hour in ONE SECOND.
