Last summer, 58-year-old Rod Saboury of Millers, Maryland (--about 50 miles northwest of Baltimore), decided to find out just how fast his souped-up 1963 Corvette could go.
So he brought the car to the Super Chevy Show in Ohio . . . and tested its 2,400 horsepower engine on a real racetrack. So how fast did it do? Listen to this . . .
Rod's Corvette went from ZERO to 60 miles per hour in ONE SECOND.
And it reached its top speed . . . which is more than 210 miles per hour . . . in less than SEVEN SECONDS.
Just so we're clear, those times easily make Rod's Corvette the fastest street-legal car on the planet.
If you're wondering, Rod's Corvette gets about ten miles to the gallon . . . which isn't that bad considering most Hummers only get about 13 or 14 miles per gallon.
